Brief Background
Welcome to our new home on the web!
Since 1942 our family is based in Kulathuvayal, Calicut
District, Kerala State, India. Our grandfather Late Mr. Chacko and Mrs. Mariamma chacko migrated
from Ramapuram near Palai. We belong to ancient traditions of Christianity
and belong to RCSC church.Mr. Chacko and family (4 sons and 2 daughters)
established themselves in a period of 20 years in the new location. Our
beloved grand father expired in 1968 and grandmother followed him in 1974.
In the next generation, eldest son Mr. Mathew Chacko Edacheril, passed away at the age of 98 in 2005, who was residing
with children in Mangalore.Second son Mr. Augustin passed away in 1949,
unfortunately in an accident.Third son Mr. Scaria,
our beloved father passed away in 1990 at the age of 70.Last son
Mr. Varghese, passed away in 2001 at the age of 77.Both the daughters
were married to traditional families and are also no more with us today.
Scaria
Edacheril took over our traditional family house with
his wife Mrs.Annamma Scaria & their eight children. Mrs. Annamma
Scaria belongs to the traditional Koyikkal family from Marangattupally.We
are traditionally agriculturists. Our expertise is in the cultivation
of Coconut, Arecanut, Cashew, Pepper, Coffee, Nutmeg, Rubber, vanilla
etc.We have a modern farm with drip irrigation and latest cultivation
techniques.
